This is such a wonderful book with a delightful, meaningful story about Zella the zebra helping a stranger in need (Zack). Years go by and just when Zella starts to wonder if Zack has perhaps forgotten how she'd helped him all those years ago, she learns he'd in fact never forgotten at all and ends up helping HER in return in a very big way just when she needs it. In general, it's Bill Peet. We have YET to come across one of his books that was less than fabulous!

Of my twin girls, one adorest this book and the other likes it. Bill Peet is a wonderful illustrator and this story is inventive and fun. The rhyming is a bit forced but overall it is a delightful book.

I love the book Zella, Zack, and Zodiac; but when I ordered it from a dealer in TX, he never sent it to me. After much wrangling, I finally got my money back. When I got on line to find a seller, I saw that the price of this book was now $95 from that dealer. hmmmm? If you can find this book for a reasonable price, buy it; it's great! Wish I could find it. diane
