Our nearly-2-year-old loves to make animal noises while turning the sturdy cardboard pages of this book.

I agree with the previous reviewer. Great for a child's development. An enjoyable read that the adult/parent can get into and enjoy.

Another book we really enjoy is "The Absolutely Awful Alphabet" by Mordicai Gerstein.

When reading the cardboard page version of this book to my boy I felt that it seemed to finish a bit soon. Note, however, that the paper version has a few more pages (with a few more animals).

Thoroughly recommended - 5 stars.

This beautiful bright book is can captivating for children from 6 months to four years. It is one of those books that you can sit down and read with all your children, pretty much irrespective of age. It is a simple hardcover picture book featuring animals and the noises they make. The bright colours captivate babies and the animal and sound associations are fantastic for toddlers. The preschoolers also love it becuase it is so much fun to make the noises especially with younger children to listen and repeat them.
Overall, I think it is the most beautiful sight to see a four year old pick up this book and talk a baby or toddler through the animals and the sounds.
