My Mom actually suggested this classic for my 4 year old son. He loves it and so do I. It is nice when a children's book can be enjoyed by the adult reader as well. Great story: suspenseful, no violence and very heart-warming

A classic book. Beautiful full color pencil illustration. Sweet story of rescue, family, caring for animals, and the best city in the world, San Francisco. I gave this as a gift to a friend who saves pigeons he finds injured in the city. Recognize your animal rescuers with this tale.
