I was looking forward to reading brief predictions and ideas of what writers in the late 1800's thought the next century would bring, as well as some reflections on their own century. I did find the photos and about half of the articles interesting. Unfortunately, many of the pieces have little to offer, even to a life long Wisconsin resident with an interest in history.
