Jerry Lee Lewis is one of the first true rock ‘n’ roll musicians. He catapulted to fame with his 1957 hit, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, and proved to the world that a piano man could play front and center on the world’s biggest stages. He has stirred up some trouble in his days, once lighting a piano on fire on stage with a Coca-Cola bottle of gasoline to close out the show. Other rock legends have said that they never wanted to follow Jerry Lee Lewis’ performance. Jerry Lee Lewis was born on September 29th, 1935, in Ferriday, Louisiana

This book is Jerry Lewis in his own words. It is interesting, because more than two decades of his life have passed since penning this autobiography. This was him before his success in "Damn Yankees", and before his film with Johnny Depp or the 1995 film "Funny Bones"

The entire story of the famous comic, including his partnership with Dean Martin, his movies, his personal life, and his relationship with victims of muscular dystrophy, makes for a vivid portrait

This was a very informative book. I would've liked to know more about his breakup with his first wife. I also wanted to know more about his children and the making of his many classic films. Nevertheless, this was an entertaining, informative read. Highly recommended.

A very enjoyable read. After reading the book, one really begins to appreciate how innovative and intelligent Jerry Lewis was. Word of warning--it was written in the early 80's so the book is not very PC! Which is fine with me.

This is a sharp book written by a great clown. He is honest and provides insights into many things I have been curious about through the years.

An intimate and emotion driven recall of his life. Introspective. If you are curious about the man behind the mask, it's a perfect book. He doesn't go into great detail about his relationship with Dean Martin, however. The book lives in Jerry's mind and fluctuating emotions looking outward and inward simultaneously...I can't say enough about this book. I feel like I know him now. Bravo, Mr. Lewis.
