Coming Home to Myself. As the mother of two toddlers I don't get much time for leisure reading, but I could not put this book down, I read it in 3 nights (after the kids were in bed). I have been a fan of Wynonna's music for many years and have followed her heart-felt struggle with her weight and her relationship with her mother. As you might suspect, there is a very honest, caring and intelligent women behind the superstar's beautiful face. I recommend this book to any women, especially Mothers, who struggle daily trying to balance it all. Her story is a true inspiration to us all. Loved it!

I chose this rating because I was so impressed with the way she told her story. Pure, honest, and fair with alot of respect to other family members.it could have been written with a lot of anger and resentment and still would have been truthful, but instead this woman decided instead of holding grudges and calling family members out, which she could have very well done, especially if you ever read other family members books! She chose, being the w woman she is,decided to go within herself and reached out to life coaches and open her heart to positive mentors to overcome her heartache and that she carried for so many years because she was made to believe she was was not good enough by the people she loved most. What a strong woman wanting to grow and expand her wings and fly mostly as a example for her children, husband, and yes those that expected less, having doubt that she was truly a warrior. Stay strong my friend, NAMASTE

A deep emotional unveiling of WY's innermost feeling. My kudos to her persistence to uncover where she began, so she could change the cycle with her children. Everyone can relate to her journey in one or another. Parents, children, weight, inperfection, etc. can truly make you feel less than. When we know better we do better. Everyone has something about themselves they would like to change. We must not let it grow like a cancer. We must have gratitude for what God gave us and enjoy each day knowing we are doing the best we can. The serenity prayer helps me Sort through things faster than I can on my own. She's a great talent and person. Her children are very lucky.

Let me start off by saying I am a Wy fan. I thought this book was so boring. She comes across as an insecure whinny brat. She could never take control of her life and lived in fear of her mother. Yet she did nothing about it for 40 years. None of the Judds come off looking very good. The irony is that she spends the majority taking about hey husband Roach, but come to find out he's a child molester. What irony. Save your money

Wynonna is such a inspiration as she opens up about her journey through life. This lady has true grit and I enjoyed reading her story showing her candedness, her humour, pain and triumphs she goes through. I felt like I was walking along side her as I read this book. Anyone that loves Wy will love her more after reading her story.

An easy book to read and appears to be an honest biography of her life. She's had an up and down life and is not afraid to tell of the good times and the failures that happened along the way.

Tells of the ins and outs of the music business and how easy it is to think you have plenty of money and everything is just fine and find out that isn't the case. She is honest about being in financial trouble and not knowing it because she just spent and let her management people handle the finances. We often wonder how "apparently" successful people can end up in financial straits and it's because they let others write the checks when they should be more aware of where the money goes.

She talks about growing up on the road with her mother and their relationship. It's an interesting book if you're a fan. I am and have been fortunate to see her in concert and enjoyed it very much.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Coming Home to Myself ". I liked Wynonna's openness and honesty. And I really like her as a person. I also like her telling about her faith in God, being forthcoming about her shortcomings and her love for her family. While I can not relate to her desire to own many animals, I admire her for caring for them. It was an enjoyable, interesting book to read, and she is a very talented singer who has overcome many obstacles in her life.
I absolutely love The Judds and Naomi and Wynonna seperately. They have both had an incredible journey in life and are coming out on top. This book was ok. I don't think it was a waste of time to read, some of the stories were very interesting, but it wasn't great. It was written several years ago and a LOT in her life has changed. I think it was great that she shares with us how she used therapy and life coaches to make changes in her financial situation and also in her professional and personal relationships. What I got from the book is that she wants to help us by letting us share in her lessons learned. She's not perfect and sharing her story makes it easier for us not to be perfect too. Thanks Wy, it was a good book.
