As Anne points out this is a very big book which is important because Albright created so much detail. So even if one already has an Albright book this is helpful. The author knew albright so the text is good too, there is a photo of them together in 1977.
As regards color fidelity, here and there, I have some doubts.
There is a chapter of 10 pages with some of his poetry. Separately there is another 3 & a third page poem related to the painting "The Temptation of St. Anthony".
There is a photo of the set up for "Dorian Gray", and one for the painting "The Window".

Since this item had no description to speak of, the following is an excerpt from the sleeve:

"No American painter has been more involved with the meticulolus rendering of people and objects than Ivan Albright. His paintings have facinated and often shocked the public for more than fifty years. When Hollywood made a movie of "The Picture of Dorian Grey" Albright was commissioned to paint the famous portrait that grew older while its subject remained forever youthful. Born in North Harvey, Illinois, in 1897, Albright studied architecture aat Northwestern University. During World War I he served with a U.S. Army medical unit, making surgical drawings whose clinical precision was echoed later in his paintings.

From the start, Albright chose to paint ordinary people. Sometimes, like Andrew Wyeth, he chose as models old people. These, however, he endowed with the full measure of their humanity, painting them in a technique in which every portion of the canvas has a jewel-like richness. Throughout changing fashions in art, Albright never wavered in his probing of the human predicament, nor did the pubic grow tired of seeing his paintings.

An extraordinarily meticulous craftsman, ALbright, it is said sometimes took a week to paint a square inch of canvas. His most famous work "That Which I should Have Done I did Not Do", took ten years to complete (1931-1941). However sombre the subject matter, Albrights paintings vibrate with color, for Albrights revelation is that each particle off existence is shimmeringly alive..."
