I bought this for my daughter, who is into her 2nd year of playing piano. I like it but would consider this more a more intermediate level of playing and find that this book is still too difficult for her. It has several classics though and will be an excellent book for level 3 or 4. Some of the pieces included are The Barber of Seville, Can-Can, Clair de Lune, Fur Elise (only the 1st part), and Handel's Messiah. Sometimes it is difficult finding a "true" beginner music book and if you are looking for an easy beginner book, unfortunately this one will appear more advanced.
