Hopefully someone can make a video review of this book because words are not enough. This book (in the compact, reduced edition) is a work of art. In addition to covering all the key phases of Hirst artwork, the book goes several steps further by becoming a work of art itself. There are loose prints, die cuts, pop-ups, fold outs, and more. This might sound kitschy but if you have a chance to see the book in person you'll see that the description doesn't do justice to the actual book. Even if you are just a casual fan of Hirst this is a great book to have in your art library, a one-of-a-kind production.

Great interactive book!

It has a nice contrast between the content, very eerie, and the shape, with all the interactions and pop-ups.

It gives a very good idea about Damien Hirst thinking and works without a huge amount of texts.

Great gift for someone who loves art!

The object of art itself! A must have for anyone who's interested in art...

Book is in excellent condition. I am very thankful and satisfied because I contacted the seller for expedited delivery. I was going overseas and needed the book. The book arrived way ahead of time and it did not cost me extra. I recommend purchasing from this seller without question.

What a tour de force! This is one of the most beautifully designed books money can buy. Jonathan Barnbrook created (together with Damien Hirst) a timeless masterpiece of book design. A tiny note for the "practical book-user": This book is a work of Damien Hirst's. In such a publication one should not be surprised to find "safety guidlines" on how to successfully "deal with one's own life" - by using a gun. Gun owners might think twice before showing this book to their loved ones. Yet that's another story. Or maybe not, from Hirst's point of view? :*)

This is the best Damien Hirst book available covering all of his now classic work in an inventive format that makes the book it's own piece of art. Highly recommended.
The book was disappointing. Not just the "suicidal" recommendations part, but childish poorly performed pop-ups and pretty cheap "pull out" features.
Actually I was more interested in Hirst's works before I saw this book than I am now.
