If you were an avid D&D player in the early 90s, you'll love this book.

I wanted to share some of the Dungeons and Dragons art that enchanted me as a child with my young son. This book helped me do just that. He is now trying his hand at drawing dragons.

Have a very good high quiality collection of pictures, and the paper is really good and bright the colors very well, becomes with a short flavor text of each setting of the TSR.

This book is a trip down memory lane of all the great art from D&D. I had to have this one and its the same exact size as current and classic d&d books so it fits right in with them on the shelf!

I like buying old D&D stuff, and I realized it was because of the art (that and I'm a hoarder). Fifth Edition D&D is here, and I understand it's a good thing. What a lot of us really want when we think of the "good old days" is the art that came with the mountain of publications involved in the old editions of the D20 world. This book puts a big chunk of that mojo in my library. I only played D&D for a year or so ten years ago, but I had the best DM. I realized that D&D isn't just about rules (it is for some players, and that just ads to the experience really) it's about putting yourself and some of your friends in the mood for adventure. It's about letting your imagination take you places you want to be. This book is a great primer for all that.

It is also one of the best fantasy art books I have ever seen. There are over thirty artists featured, and the text is minimal. I might end up with a few of these artists' respective printed volumes, but this is a dynamite purchase.
The Worlds of TSR collects the best paintings from AD&D, XXVc., and several other of TSR's role-playing mileaus in a true tour-de-force of fantasy and science fiction art. All of the images, created by the top artists in the field - Easley, Parkinson, others - are reproduced with perfect clarity and in blazing color. Sadly enough, the only thing that follows each painting is the name of the artist - the reader is thus effectively prevented from either learning the paiting's title or finding in which of TSR's games the art in question was included. However, for the casual gamer or simply an admirer of this style of art the Worlds of TSR will surely be a nice find. One wonders why an update wasn't released.
