Environmental law, also known as environmental and natural resources law, is a collective address environmental pollution. A related but distinct set of regulatory regimes, now strongly influenced by environmental legal principles, focus on the management of specific natural resources, such as forests, minerals, or fisheries. Other areas, such as environmental impact assessment, may not fit neatly into either category, but are nonetheless important components of environmental law.

International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics, Vol. This 2007 book examines environmental law from a range of perspectives, emphasising the policy world from which environmental law is drawn and nourished. Those working within the discipline of environmental law need to engage with concepts and methods employed by disciplines other than law. The authors analyse the ways in which legal activities are supported and legitimated by work in traditional scientific or technical domains, as well as by certain more obscure but also influential cultural or philosophical assumptions.

environmental law provides a clear and authoritative introduction to the subject, revised to 1 January 2003. It updates existing topics and addresses important new topics, such as the Kyoto Protocol, genetically modified organisms, and foreign investment and environmental protection  Cambridge, New York, Melbourne, Madrid, Cape Town, Singapore, São Paulo. Cambridge University Press.

This further addition to the International Environmental Law and Policy Series examines to what extent international law meets the needs of international action required in the field of environmental protection. Some of the world's leading practitioners and academics contribute significantly in identifying problems which have so far been inadequately dealt with, assessing the protection afforded by present general international law regarding Air Pollution, Water Pollution, Hazardous Waste, and Climate Change and the Ozone Layer, and in addressing the causes in regulatory deficiencies. There is a critical appraisal of the adequacy and efficiency of existing law and present procedures. The book presents the revised and edited papers presented at the Symposium held in Vienna in October 1990, under the auspices of the Austrian Institute for International Affairs.
